Hello everyone, How to upload .zip file into server (Ubuntu OS) without using third party like Filezilla, APC, SFTP, S3 and others. Reference from Laracast: https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/laravel/best-way-to-upload-file-zip-into-ubuntu-pc-server
ex. user1 login = connection id = 1; user2 login = connection id = 2; and so on.
Hello, anyone knows how to get all connection id (thread id) in server(MySQL) using Laravel? I have a task to get all concurrent connections. The implementation will be like this. When a user login into web/system, I will get his connection id (thread id) and store in in login table. In MySQL there's a syntax "select connection_id()" to get the specific or active connection of that user. Then, to list all connection is "show full processlist". What I've done so far? In my log-in controller I make query using DB query DB::select('select connection_id()'); but the problem is that when i checked it in my server the id that i queried is not in the list. I hope someone has idea. Thanks in advance.
How to make your own webhook monitoring? add webhook and monitor webhook?
When a user closed its browser the user will be logout but when user open a browser and login again there's new session for that user but the old session is still active in session table. Is there a way to destroy or forget user's session when the browser is closed? or a magic technique to make that user to logout when browser is closed. Thanks in advance.
How to logout specific user without using session? Auth::logout(); will just logout the current user but how about the specific user? if you are admin and want to kick a user you just click a button to logout the user.
Looking for another more-systemic way to prevent users from seeing other user's content than using if statements to check for auth::user->id == record->createdby-id every time I pull a record. I looked at the Spatie package but couldn't figure out from the docs how to apply that in this case. There are many authentication/access tutorials and examples, but they all deal with role access or page-level/routing access, not user-record access. A Larastream on how to prevent a user from seeing other users' content would be excellent.
There's a topic in Laravel, what I don't really understand. It's unit testing. When I would have a project like Larastream, what I develop. I mean, what things I could test and how, who have to do with a profile, a search, notifications or other components who are on a website. I think on an example like Larastream, I could understand the whole topic better and would know how I could realize it on own projects.
When I get notified about someone I am following going live, it might be good to see the stream details in the body of the email notification: - title - series - description That would help me gauge my interest level a bit. :)
